The PMEI training model is an alternative to the artificial bones as they cannot be used with the PMEIs. The training model has an artificial stapes head, stapes footplate, long process of the incus and stapedotomy, so that all our prostheses can be tried.
The holes in the lid represent the ear canal. They have different diameters so that the level of difficulty can be adjusted to the user’s skills. The lid can also be taken off completely.
The training model can be inserted into the MED-EL trays, just like the artificial bones. It is shipped together with a pedestal that can be used instead of the tray.
The cavities in the center of the training model can be used to put some water to imitate the moisture in the middle ear.

PMEI Training Model is delivered in the round container together with a pedestal and a silicone sheet.
